Any single character — comma, space, hyphen, pipe, underscore, or a custom character you enter. The split applies to every row in the column.

What are the output columns named after splitting a column in a TSV file?

The original column name with a numeric suffix: col_1, col_2, and so on. You can rename them afterwards using the Rename Columns tool.

What happens if a value has fewer parts than other rows when splitting a TSV column?

Short values produce null in the extra output columns for that row. No data is lost from other columns.
